The show began as a happy accident. Sean and John both stream for the same stream team, Onslaught Clan. Sean has been a long time Destiny streamer while John, while playing Destiny consistently, was podcasting about Hearthstone and Overwatch. As Destiny 2 came near, both hosts had the itch to create a Destiny podcast. After an accidental pass on Twitter, the rest is history!
Sean Bartley is a man of many hats, literally. His obsession with video games came at a young age, as most “nerds” say, and doesn’t look like it will slow down any time soon.
For the past two years, Sean has been growing his family in the Destiny realm via his channel on Twitch. From multiple charity streams, working with his Onslaught Clan family, being the DJ for Destiny Community Convention in 2016, to his upcoming podcast Return To Orbit, Sean is continuously moving forward with anything that can connect himself to another person in order to make the world of video games a more positive and upbeat place to be. Weather you are a growing channel, an established partner, or a person that just wants to shoot aliens on the internet with your friends, you are always welcome in this community.
When he is not in his studio working on something Destiny related, you can find him with his kids watching the same episode of Pokemon or Mickey Mouse Clubhouse for the bajillionth time, making a new specialty coffee beverage, or playing video games off stream with his wife, whom he met through the Destiny world. So the next time you are in the mood for some “really bad MLG” game play, make sure you stop by his channel and witness the next no scope head-shot followed by a missed nova bomb.
John’s gaming career stretches back to Halo 2 where he and his friends played competitively. Since then, John has been a World top 25 Shadow Priest in World of Warcraft, a Legend Player in Hearthstone, and a Master player in Overwatch.
In early 2015, John set out to start his own podcast. He was fortunate to find BlizzPro.com who were looking to hire a new host for their show (formerly “HearthPro”). After an audition and a few interviews, he was chosen to be the new host. Since then, “Well Met!” has become the third most downloaded Hearthstone podcast on iTunes and the second most reviewed. Six months later, John started “The Payload” – an Overwatch podcast. It also is a top 5 podcast on iTunes for Overwatch podcasts.
John’s love for creating podcasts about the games he loves has been his primary passion since 2015. Since then, he’s moved to podcasting and streaming full time. You can find all of his social media below.
